Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein is a hawk with a long legacy of supporting corporate elites, but to her credit, she has been trying to get Bisphenol A banned. Bisphenol A is already banned in Europe and Canada. It's a plastic used in canned foods and baby bottles. It's VERY toxic. (Yes, it's in baby bottles!) Tuesday the Senate passed a food safety bill-- but before they passed it, they removed Feinstein's amendment to ban Bisphenol A.
